Yahrzeits

Yahrzeit, the annual commemoration of the anniversary of a loved one's death, is a traditional remembrance. Jews may observe a yahrzeit at home by lighting a special long-burning candle. We recite the Mourner's Kaddish each week during our services to remember those who have died recently and those whose yahrzeit falls within that week.
