Shalom & Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in Congregation Beth Shalom of The Woodlands (CBSW). Since 1982, CBSW has been a thriving center of Jewish life. We hope that you will find the congregation to be warm and welcoming - a true spiritual home.
Will I Feel Comfortable at CBSW?
Our members reflect the diversity of The Woodlands and Greater Houston, coming from all walks of life and many different religious backgrounds and ethnicities. Our programs are designed to meet the diverse spiritual, religious, educational, and social needs of our members and guests. We want to celebrate moments of joy with you and support you and your loved ones during times of need.
How Do I Get Involved?
There are many ways to become involved with our community and meet fellow congregants. During your first months, we will reach out to you and help you connect with programs, groups, and classes that complement your interests. We offer a warm and inviting atmosphere in which you can find your Jewish way and strengthen your connection to our congregational family.
Can I Meet the Rabbi and Religious School Director?
We encourage you to meet with Rabbi Matthew Berger and Helen Richard, our Religious School Director, by attending Shabbat services, community programs, and holiday celebrations. They are also available to meet with you privately.
We hope you will choose to become an essential part of the present and future of our congregation, and invite you to apply for membership online. We will contact you upon receiving the application.
Have questions or concerns? Please contact our Membership Chair, Kaye Brouse.
