Junior Youth Group (6th through 8th grades) Our junior youth group provides our students with opportunities to act upon the values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and Gemilut Chasadim (acts of kindness). Fun-filled outings provide our students opportunities to build social relationships and to socialize with their Jewish peers. Junior youth group activities are generally held several times a semester. Woodsy (8th through 12th grades) Our senior youth group associated with the National Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) provides our older students with opportunities to socialize with their peers at CBSW, to develop leadership skills, and to meet other Reform Jewish youth by participating in local, regional, and national NFTY events. Activities include social action projects, religious and cultural events, social programs, regional conclaves and study retreats, and national conventions. CAMP SHALOM Camp Shalom, CBSW's summer day camp, provides the children of our congregation (Kindergarten through 5th grades) with a well-rounded camp experience in a Jewish setting. Activities include sports, art, swimming, song sessions, and cooking. Campers enjoy a wide array of field trips and special guest presentations. |
